Kinetic on a roll...

With the Kinetic Blaze doing quite ok since its launch, Kinetic are now all set to launch six new Italian scooter models in India in the next 2-3 years. The Blaze was the first model of the seven that Kinetic had promised to come out with from the Italjet range of scooters. These models have been designed by Mr Leopoldo Tartarini and will be launched in a phased manner in the next three years or so.

The next model which we can expect to see will be the Euro, a family scooter. It will be powered by a 165cc engine, the same as on the Blaze and should be in the showrooms in the next 2-3 months. As part of its strategy to recapture the scooter market, the company has also appointed about 50 new dealers across India.

The Blaze in the meantime, has started going abroad - Japan and its next destinations include the US, Canada, Europe and Australia. Mr Firodia said, adding Blaze was already the third largest selling scooter in India. He added that Kinetic is the only two-wheeler company in India to provide customers with a complete range from 71 cc to 165 cc. For the festive season, to tap the market in the current festive season, at the national level, he also unveiled a scheme to provide 10 to 20 litres of petrol for free to the new customers of various models.
