Honda ST1300 Streetfighter!

While surfing through my regular quota of motorcycling websites around the world, I came across this bold looking bike. Paul Crowe of http://thekneeslider.com came across this bike at a Vintage Motorcycle show. If it wasnt for the longitudinal V4 engine, he would have never guessed which bike this originally was...
The streetfighter you see in the pictures is actually a 2004 Honda ST1300 that had an unfortunate encounter with a deer. Instead of replacing all of the plastic (expensive plastic mind you!), the owner, Butch Demerle, had something interesting in his mind and came up with this. John Cain helped him out with some CNC machine work to create the extra pieces needed to pull it all together and this is the result.

The design may not be interesting to some, but I love the idea of stripping down a huge bike to this! The bike is unusual because most Honda STs are seen fully clothed and when you see what’s under the plastic, there’s something a person could work with. It’s certainly one solution to the high cost of replacement pieces.
