OP: Just curious. Roughly what bill denominations did you hand over? Was it mostly big bills? Or a mess of ones, fives, tens, twenties and coins?

Personally, I find the comparisons of teachers' pay with an 'average private sector employee's pay' downright useless. You're not comparing apples to apples. Do they have the same degree? Is there the same demand/supply of employees? Teachers aren't making 'too much' (compensation should be based on quality of work, value added to society, supply/demand, etc.)... some are making too much, some are making too little. The problem is that its'a an idiotic one-size-fits-all system in which many of them feel 'entitled' to their jobs, entitled to their benefits, entitled to their unions, entitled to their collective bargaining, entitled to their tenure. It's BS. You aren't entitled to anything except for compensation based on how well you do your job.

Hello everybody :),
I'm the autor of these pictures. I've made this with 3dsmax and Vray render. Photoshop has been just use to create the noise and resize the pictures.
For the perspective problem on the third pics, it's just a lens distortion of my camera.
Stop search, it's just a 3D render exercise.
I'm happy to see that my work unleashed passions but it's A FAKE.

since they haven't take down apple store for update, does that mean no new product? just new service? i'm waiting for a MB/MBP update
If not today, we could see an MB/MBP update sometime after Sep 16th when the free ipod nano promo expires. That's my best guess, but even i am hoping desperately for the update to happen today!

I really don't think so It will be a margin building exercise, PC World (or Dixons/Currys/Whatever) did it on the last iPad, they will shrink wrap them up in higher margin products and tell people those are the only bundles they have in stock at the moment. If they are making very little margin and selling lots it will bring down the gross margin for the stores. Its just simple margin building.

Interesting.... I got the feeling from the commercial that more is coming soon, but I didn't see it as "upgrades" which implies costly.
One of Apple's HUGE advantages over Android based devices is that all iOS devices can use the same OS and they all get upgraded at the same time. They need to tout this and I think that's basically what's coming when iOS 5 is released.

I wish they at least did that still. I mean, they offer a streaming video after the event, is it really so much more expensive to to offer it live? That would be something worth getting up early and going to the Apple Store for.
Although I find enough excitement in both reading the live text updates and then getting to go to Apple's site and see the product pages,and watch them in action in the keynote video.
I suppose we could go to the Apple Store on Tuesday and hit the live blog sites on their Macs. Then, when the event is over, go to the cash register and say, "Gimmie!!!"

Actually scrollbars look and behave exactly the same as they did before.
Whether they automatically hide or not is a preference, it has been since the first DP:

I've just noticed a fantastic new function on my cable box. You can fast forward through the programme to see all the ads. I know what you're thinking, if only there was a way to skip the programmes and jump straight to the ads, because I really want to see the ad about how badly they mis-sold Yaz.

It is actually cheaper than the Apple Store. The only reason I went to Apple was because Call of Duty. It was the same price as Amazon in total, but I would rather give Apple the business since I own lots of stock.:D

yeah, -smp 12 but one core now shows minimal use. Before I restarted it it showed 4 cores with minimal usage... :confused: I'm going to try tossing the config file and see what happens. And of course it loses the wu each time I shut folding down.

I just tried to imagine an Apple event night without the omnipresence of Chundles and my brain broke.

Why do people NOT understand, that even Apple, who LOVES aluminum, switched from that to palstic... WHY??? WHY would Apple of all companies do that??? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK WITH THE CELL RECEPTION ON THE iPHONE PERIOD! They are NOT going to go back to aluminum lol! :rolleyes:

this is not going to happen in the near future. This probably has a chance if Apple's notebook marketshare doubles from what it is now. They might have to have two chipmakers to satisfy demand in about 5 years..........but now this is just bs, i wish digitimes would stop speculating about apple rumors because their always way, way off.

Loosing Denmark, or Norway or both, doesn't matter one bit. It is a courtesy that Apple even allowed these small and meaningless countries to join in on the fun.

That is, if the French and the scandinavians find that Apples DRM violates consumer rights, it has a very good chance to become accepted all over EU. Furthermore, since EU has about 460 million people whereas US only have 296 milion people, it should according to your argumentation about minor markets imply that Apple rather should dump the US market than the european market. :rolleyes:
