2009 Husqvarna SM 450 R Revealed

The full fruit of the acquisition of Husqvarna by BMW will take time to grow, but Husky is already displaying a new model at the Intermot . . . a 2009 SM 450 R. The new SM 450 R is slightly lighter (1 kilo), receives a new frame, and a number of changes to its engine intended to increase performance and durability. Among other things, a new headlight design is readily apparent.

We have not received full specifications, or other details on this new Husqvarna model, but we will pass them along in due course. BMW is expected to eventually revamp Husqvarna's entire line up, of course, but it has only owned the company for a short period of time.
