Hi,

I was on H1 VISA when my wife came here on H4 VISA. When I was filled her DS-157 form for H4 Stamping by mistake I put the wrong dates of employment.

Now she got her H1 Visa approved when she was here in US. She is going for H1 Visa stamping . She is filling her DS-157 again with the correct dates. Would it be a problem. Would H4 DS-157 be tied back to DS-157 for H1 while she is there for H1 Stamping.

Please any help would be appreciated.

Folks,

I just realized that I forgot to add a piece of my employment history to the DS-160. I only realized it once I set up the appointment for H1-B stamping through VFS. I have all the corroborating paperwork (W2, paystub etc.) for that period. Do I need to re-do the DS-160? I already have an appointment and if I cancel the appointment and re-do the DS160 I might run the risk of not getting the date of my choosing. The problem is my existing company is a "successor in interest" of the company I forgot to mention. That is, I got my I-797 from this previous company.

Please not that the facts in the existing DS 160 are true. It is just that I realized that there is a gap that I might have to fill.

has there ever been any regulation issued by the USCIS for the AC21 law? i know about the yates memo in 2005. however, even that memo says that there will be a regulation coming in... so was that ever published? i just want to find out once and FOR ALL whether uscis will allow me to do self-employment in a same or similar job and how prepared should i be for zealous immigration officers sending me way-too-detailed RFEs for stuff related to self employment... i contacted a few lawyers, the only one who was encouraging enough for my taste said that she/he will charge me my arm, leg and possibly an eye or ear... so whats out there already?
