Some months back I had read a post on Fireblade forums and then I read a post on a blog today about Honda's V4 plans for the 1000cc market. I dug up the post from the fireblade forums - FireBlade forums .... and then I went to http://www2.solomoto.es/ and found out their write up on the possibility of a V4 CBR hitting the showrooms in 2008! Wooaahhhh...
According to posts on the net, patents have been submitted for a road-going chassis based upon the RC211V MotoGP bike and a road version of the V5 engine. The new flagship honda being the new CBR1000RR will sport a V4 engine with motoGP technology and a limited edition production run with the V5 engine. The new CBR1000RR will also be homologated as a WSBK racer....
