Here is my situation:
I-140 approved and about to file 485.
Employer says he can file only 485 and no EAD for me. But he can file EAD/AP for my wife.
Can I file EAD/AP for me separately on my own? What are the consequences from my employer if I quit after six months of applying 485 (by that time I would've got my EAD/AP)? Can he reject my 140 and/or 485?
You can apply for EAD at anytime. All you will need is a copy of your I-485 AOS receipt (which I think USCIS will send to you, but I am not sure).

Even i'm in the same situation. My employer does not let me to interact with the attorney and is sad in following up.
He is yet to apply for my PERM.
Even i'm curious to know if there is a way to track it other than employer/attorney creating a sub account. I'm dead sure they would not create one :(

And Fujifilm too. But I think its a "business decision" somehow, and I don't expect it will happen, when Canon is so dominant, for that market segment concerned. At least not now, not soon. I wish I am wrong.

I was listing to NPR Diane Rim show. Not sure who guests were. But When Diana asked if there is any chance that bill might come back.. He said, no bill won't come back but there is chance that some pieces of immigration may come in seperate pieces in around sep. He did say some bill might come for High skilled.. He gave example of Bill Clinton's health care immigration bill.

I was curious to know if LC/140/485 will be processed simultaneously or if they will be processed one after the other. If latter, what might be the approx time taken in NSC for LC and 140. I understand that it's difficult to predict the time for 485.
Your LC will not be processed. It has already been processed and approved. Only your I-140 will be processed and if approvable, then it will be approved. Depending on your priority date, your I-140 and I-485 may be processed at the same time and approved at the same time.
This is how I understand Substitute Labor will be processed for I-140. I may be wrong.

You have been current for a long time based on your profile.. did you check what is the status of your I485 application
Status is still initial review on 485 and when checked with infopass I was told that my case in in extended review.
And yes, my case is current from last 10 months.

My H1B expired, and they are now just working on the labor certification process, so I have left the country and working outside the US. Someone did tell me that after I have been out for a 12 month period they may get me back under a new H1B. Is this correct? Reason I ask is that I have been out of the US for 4 months, and they seem to be working very slow on my Labor Cert, and I know once the this is submitted I have to wait a further 12 months, so wanted to see if it is viable to get a new H1B. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Last year I had applied for Schengen business visa. I was able to get using Blue cross blue shield Letter saying about their international coverage.Call your insurance and ask them to fax coverage letter.
One more thing when I had applied for visa they just issued for specified days as it was mention in business invitation letter. Then I end up reapplying it to get for four months.
Has anybody recently applied for a Schengen Visa, if yes, can you please let me know what you did for the travel insurance. The insurance from my employer (Humana) says they cover international but do not have a letter that states the same and Swedish consulate website says the letter should specifically say "International Coverage".
What are my options. Can you guys suggest where I can buy the insurance from.

We all know very well by now that the house of representatives is THE mover when it comes to passing any pro-legal immigration bill.Given that half of those representatives may loose their jobs in the coming election, I dont see much point in contacting them now if they have already made up their mind not to do anything on immigration until the elections. But we will have to double our efforts as soon as the new congress settles in so that our agenda gets highlighted to the new members of congress.
But look at the positive side. We have more time to contact the law makers.
